Can you laser cut both wool and synthetic felt?

We do not stock felt, but if you supply your own we can cut synthetic (polyester) felt and wool blend felts. Pure 100% wool felt also cuts but the smell during cutting is much stronger and the edge is less crisp, so we recommend a blend or synthetic where possible. We can advise on a suitable felt for your project.

Do the edges of laser cut felt fray over time?

Synthetic felts and blends are sealed by the heat of the laser, so the edges do not fray at all in normal use. Pure wool felt does not seal in the same way and benefits from a stitched or glued edge for high-wear applications like soft toys and apparel.

What sort of felt projects do you take on?

We cut everything from felt name badges and craft kit components to industrial gaskets, costume shapes, and educational puzzles. There is no minimum order, so single prototypes are welcome alongside production runs for shops and craft suppliers.
