Will the box vent gases from a flooded lead-acid battery?

Yes, where you are using flooded or AGM batteries we incorporate vent fittings near the top of the box, with provision for a hose run that takes any gases outside the cabin or compartment. For lithium battery banks the venting requirements are different and we will design accordingly.

How do I size a battery box correctly?

Measure the outside dimensions of the battery (including terminals) and add about 20mm on each side for clearance and cable routing. Tell us how many batteries are going in and whether you need bus bars, fuse blocks, or isolators mounted inside, and we will design the box accordingly.

Are these battery boxes suitable for marine use?

Yes, PVC boxes are commonly used on boats because they handle saltwater splash and battery acid without corroding. We supply stainless tie-down lugs on the outside to suit your fitout.
