About Gravoply
Gravoply, also known as Traffolyte, is a thin, double layer material that is suited to laser engraving. This material has a different colour cap than core. When engraved, the core layer is exposed, showing the contrast between cap and core colours. Gravoply is perfectly suited to custom labels, signage, trophies, plaques and much more.
Because the marking is cut into the material rather than printed onto it, it cannot wear off, fade or peel. Gravoply also resists chemicals, moisture, UV and abrasion, which is why it has been the standard for switchboard labels, valve tags and safety signage for decades. Stock colour combinations cover the AS 1319 safety colours as well as gold, silver and brushed metallic finishes.

Gravoply versus the alternatives
Printed or adhesive labels
Engraved Gravoply is part of the material rather than a coating, so it cannot wear off, fade or peel. Printed labels are cheaper but need replacing.
Acrylic
Acrylic engraves well for decorative work but does not give the two colour contrast that makes Gravoply legible at a glance in industrial settings.
