Over Four Decades of Growth and Innovation
APT Founded
Associated Plastics was founded by David Walters as a one-man operation under his house, producing items like plastic windscreens.

New Facilities
A new shed was built at the Sussex Street location, along with updated saws and equipment to meet growing demand.

Relocation to Bender Drive
APT relocated to 5 Bender Drive, providing a larger and more capable workspace for the expanding business.

First CNC Router
APT purchased its first CNC router, marking a major technological advancement, and successfully completed the Elizabeth Street Mall roof project in the same year.

New Ownership
Malcolm and Antoinette Churchman became the new owners, consolidating all operations at Birdwood Avenue, Moonah with a new logo and purpose-built shed.

First Laser Cutter
Acquired the first laser cutting machine (600x900mm bed size), revolutionising plastic fabrication for the business.
Expanded Laser Capacity
Purchased a second laser cutting machine with a larger bed size (1220x2440mm), significantly expanding cutting capacity.

COVID Response
Produced over 6,000 acrylic screens during the COVID pandemic for medical, educational, retail and government institutions across Australia.
New Router & Showroom
APT invested in a new router cutting machine and upgraded its office and showroom, enhancing both the work environment and customer experience.
