OUR JOURNEY
We’ve come a long way since 1979. Take a look at the key moments that have helped us grow into the company we are today.

APT founded by David Walters as a one-man business under his house, producing items like plastic windscreens.
1988
1988
Steve and Mandy Thomson purchased the business and moved operations to Sussex St, Glenorchy.
1992
1992
New shed built at the Sussex St location, along with updated saws and equipment.
1995/1996
1995/1996
APT relocated to 5 Bender Drive.
1997

The business expanded to 10 employees.
1998
1998
Purchased the first CNC router, a significant technological advancement for the company.

Completed the Elizabeth Street Mall roof project.

Malcolm and Antoinette Churchman became the new owners. Operations were divided between Birdwood Avenue, Moonah (office), and Fleming Street, Glenorchy (manufacturing).

Rebranded with a new logo. Built a shed at Birdwood Ave, consolidating all operations to this location.

Acquired the first laser cutting machine (600x900mm bed size), revolutionizing the precision and speed of plastic fabrication.

Purchased the second laser cutting machine with a larger bed size (1220x2440mm), expanding capacity.

Produced over 6000 acrylic screens during the COVID pandemic for medical, educational, retail, and government institutions.
